You can own a business and serve others with chronic illness even when you have your own health challenges.
As an Occupational Therapist and Holistic Pelvic Care Practitioner, Erica was four years into what initially had been a dream job, only to realize she was feeling increasingly frustrated, limited, and burned out.
Her body was crying out, too, with symptoms of pelvic pain, fatigue, and anxiety, which grew harder to ignore.
She says, “Like most things, I connected with Katherine and the Chronic Wellness Collective at the perfect time.”
“It was in witnessing Katherine and the other coaches on the Board that I started to get a sense of, ‘oh I could do this differently.’
“I could have a business where my own well-being was as much of a priority as that of my clients.”
“It is often in like-minded company that we get the permission we need to take big leaps.
“The Chronic Wellness Collective was that for me.”
“Their support helped me turn towards what I really wanted– to build my own practice and to continue to have the faith to keep building it– knowing there are other women out there walking similar paths.
“I am forever grateful.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my certification eligible?
Our preference is that our Chronic Wellness Coaches have credentials from:
- International Coaching Federation (ICF)
- National Board for Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC)
- American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA)
Other credentials will be considered if you contact us directly to inquire about eligibility at email@example.com.
We promote a variety of evidence-based modalities used by our coaches and ask you to complete our 12-module Chronic Wellness Coach Certification Course and mini-exam before taking on paid clients.
What are the benefits of being employed by you?
When you join the mentorship program at the Chronic Wellness Collective, you remain an independent contractor and will sign an agreement when you book your first paid client. The Collective retains a percentage of the coaching fee to cover administrative and marketing costs.
We encourage you to build and grow your own private practice, but we ask that you respect the resources of the Collective by continuing to work with our members only through our coaching platform.
At times our social media followers may choose to contact you privately, outside of our membership, and it is fine in that case if you want to sign them as a private client.
Since you are not an employee, we do not guarantee income or provide additional health and retirement benefits, etc.
The greatest perks in our mentorship program are the business coaching, educational, and networking opportunities the Collective provides – which are a major improvement over trying to go it alone in the world of entrepreneurship!
How much will I get paid per session?
You can refer to our pay scale on this page for more information. If you want clarification before enrolling in the mentorship, you may email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Generally, brand new coach training graduates whose certification is pending will begin at the Intern level.
After that, rising up on the scale depends on levels of certification, years of practice, and degrees and licensure obtained.
How many clients can I expect to get?
We promise to generate leads for you by promoting you on our social media pages and in our email newsletters (which currently has a total reach of 1500 and is growing).
Most of our current Coaches started working with at least one paid client in their first month.
A client lead means that we host Discovery Calls with potential clients and if their needs seem to match your skill set, we make a recommendation.
We cannot guarantee any specific outcome. It is up to the client whether they decide to work with you.
Further, part of our Monthly Mastermind Meetings is brainstorming ways to improve marketing.
You will have the opportunity to use our proven methods and done-for-you marketing materials to reach more potential clients through your own networks.
What other work opportunities are there for me?
Not only are Chronic Wellness Coaches invited to take on one-on-one clients, we invite you to apply to host workshops and try out your own signature group programs with our members.
These are paid opportunities and we will agree to pricing and terms before finalizing these agreements.
In the past, we’ve had coaches host a one-hour workshop open to the public on a topic of their choice.
We’ve also had coaches run a 6-week group program to refine their materials before launching it in their own private practice.
Can I upgrade my membership in the future?
If you’d like to just start with listing your name in our directory, you can always decide to join our Monthly Mastermind Meetings in the group mentorship level when you are ready.
